Call for Papers
Legume Science Special Issue on Contributions from the 5th International Legume Society Conference
Submission deadline: Thursday, 1 July 2027
This Special Issue will provide participants of the 5th Conference of the International Legume Society, to be held in Dubrovnik from 8 to 12 June 2026, with the opportunity to submit full manuscripts based on research presented at the conference.
The Special Issue maintains the thematic structure of the conference, encompassing the following areas:
- Legume-Based Value Chains
- Legume-based cropping systems
- Biodiversity and beneficial plant-microbe interactions
- Legumes for human and animal nutrition and health
- Emerging technologies in omics-based legume improvement
- Legume breeding
- Legume tolerance to abiotic and biotic stresses
- High-throughput legume phenotyping
- Legume crop modelling
Submitted papers will undergo the standard Legume Science peer-review process and, if accepted, will be considered for publication in the Special Issue, with the goal of ensuring rapid and wide dissemination of high-quality research presented at the conference and promoting further advances in the field.
Three articles may be published free of charge for contributions from researchers based in developing regions, provided that at least ten contributions are published in this Special Issue. In addition, Legume Science is published by Wiley, which has established several Transformational Agreements* and is a partner of Research4Life**, allowing Article Publication Charges (APCs) to be covered.
