With the support of the Fernand Lambein Fund and the Crop Trust, travel grants are available for researchers working on grasspea (Lathyrus sativus).
The Fernand Lambein Fund (https://lambeinfund.org/) honors Prof. Fernand Lambein, a pioneer in Lathyrus sativus research at Ghent University. Prof. Lambein dedicated his career to transforming grasspea from a neglected crop into a vital resource for food security. The Fund continues his legacy by promoting international collaboration in sustainable agriculture.
The Crop Trust (www.croptrust.org) is an international non-profit organization committed to conserving crop diversity to ensure global food and nutrition security. The BOLD Project (Biodiversity for Opportunities, Livelihoods, and Development; https://bold.croptrust.org/), funded by the Government of Norway and led by the Crop Trust in partnership with the Norwegian University of Life Sciences and the International Plant Treaty, supports national genebanks and global partners in the conservation and utilization of crop diversity for genetic improvement, including efforts focused on grasspea.
